1. A Ten year Warranty applies to Under Tile Heating from the date of installation, and or, for the ‘original’ floor covering under which it is fitted, except where the exclusions listed below apply.
2. The warranty period for Under Carpet Heating is for a period of Five (5) years from the date of installation, and or, of the ‘original’ floor covering under which it is fitted, except where the exclusions listed below apply.
3. The warranty period for the thermostat and/or controller is Two (2) years from the date of installation.


Warranty Conditions and Exceptions:

  • Proof of purchase will be required to take advantage of our UTH Lifetime Warranty, so it is important that you keep written proof of your purchase.
  • Our warranty will be automatically transferable to the first owner by the developer or builder. Thereafter when on-selling the property, the warranty, will only be transferable on application to THCI in writing by the new owner, so THCI or representative can ensure any change of household furniture has not caused damage to the heater, and any transfer will be at the discretion of THCI.
  • Your heater purchase must be registered with THCI within 60 days after purchase by filling out this warranty form and posting/faxing/emailing, or logging on to our website and forwarding to THCI.
  • The warranty is only valid, if the heating is installed as per our installation instructions’; including making sure your heater is working prior to installing your floor coverings.
  • The warranty does not cover incorrect design or installation.
  • The floor covering over the heater must not have been damaged, lifted, replaced, repaired or covered with subsequent layers of flooring.
  • That you provide THCI with written proof of your purchase, and your account with your supplier/installer is fully settled.
  • Any damage, which arises from the builders, tilers, carpet layers or electricians failing to comply with our site instructions, will invalidate the warranty.
  • All warranty claims are required to be made in writing with a description of fault and explanation of cause.
  • THCI, or designated installers obligation under our warranty will be to repair or replace faulty cables, without ‘necessarily’ being responsible for other third parties or materials.
  • If THCI, or designated installer, is required to inspect, or repair any defects that are caused by another party, all work will be fully chargeable.
  • THCI reserves the right to have any claim of fault, independently inspected to determine responsibility of fault.
  • The final onus of fault will be at THCI discretion.
  • Warranty does not apply for heating units installed outside New Zealand.
  • Warranty does not apply for failure to operate due to abnormal electrical supply. Warranty does not apply for heating units installed outside New Zealand.
  • This warranty is in addition to your legal rights, and or, under the Consumer Guarantees Act.


    This Warranty Does Not Include:

  • Calls to replace batteries programme or re-programme thermostats and/or controllers.
  • Calls to correct electrical installation carried out by others.
  • Calls to replace fuses or reset residual current devices or circuit breakers.
  • Damage when the system has been serviced by anyone other than us, or our authorised service agent.
  • Damage caused by others during construction, renovation, etc.
  • Damage caused by unauthorised modification.
  • Damage caused by accident, neglect, misuse, lightning strike or act of God, or other issues beyond our control.
